Spiral Duct Structure
Spiral round ducts are manufactured from galvanized steel, aluminum, or stainless steel strips and are available in diameters ranging from 100 to 2500 mm and lengths of 0.5 to 6 meters. The standard length of each section is 3 meters.
The thickness of the ducts varies depending on the sheet material and type of application, and is selected in accordance with the project's technical requirements.
The spiral seam structure is designed to provide very high mechanical strength and proper air sealing, resulting in minimum air leakage. On the other hand, the smooth and uniform internal surface of the duct causes reduced friction losses and air pressure drop, which plays an important role in improving the ventilation system efficiency.
If necessary, by creating reinforcing beads (corrugations) around the duct, its strength can be significantly increased. This feature allows for the production of ducts that are lighter, more economical, and with less thickness compared to longitudinal-seam round ducts and rectangular ducts. Kian Fan corrugated spiral ducts are offered using this method.
